The Challenge
Sangster International is Jamaica's main tourism gateway, and its passenger volumes swing hard with the seasons. Queues at check-in, security, and immigration are the first and last impression of a holiday. Airport leadership wanted one number per process area: how long are people waiting, right now.
The Solution
Since late 2023, Ariadne has measured the passenger journey through the terminal: check-in, outbound security, passport control, the immigration hall, baggage claim, and customs. Dashboards show occupancy and wait durations per area in real time, threshold alerts flag build-ups before they become queues, and 15-day footfall forecasts support staff planning. What began as a pilot has run as a subscription since early 2024.
The Impact
Terminal operations can see wait times as they develop rather than reconstruct them afterwards, and leadership reviews the same live picture the floor teams act on.
